Launching travel office to Dalma Island

The Department of Transport, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Aviation, today launched a new office for travel and tourism services to Dalma Island in Abu Dhabi to cater to the needs of its residents and to improve the quality of services provided to them and to visitors.

"The flights operated by Abu Dhabi Aviation from and to Dalma are free," Abu Dhabi Aviation General Manager Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mazrouei said in a press statement on the sidelines of the inauguration.

He added that the new booking office, located in the main bus center of the Department of Transport, facilitates the way and procedures of bookings for travelers and residents of the island and provides them with direct booking services by Abu Dhabi Aviation. Increase travel to and from Dalma Island and shorten the distance between the island and other airports in the emirate.

Mr. Al Mazrouei pointed out that the tourism and travel movement in the island has witnessed a remarkable growth in recent years, accompanied by a growing demand for travel bookings and services related to this sector, which is gaining increasing importance in supporting the tourist and economic activity and development process that is taking place in Al Dhafra area in general and Dalma Island in particular. .

He said Abu Dhabi Aviation is currently considering flights to Sir Bani Yas Island, as well as flights to Salalah, Oman, in response to increased demand for travel to these destinations, particularly by citizens.

Abu Dhabi Aviation Operations Manager Khaled Yacoub Al Baloushi said: "The airline operates two daily flights, three flights on Thursday and Saturday to Dalma Island, while the number of flights is four or five during the holidays and emergencies. The new reservations office, in cooperation with the Department of Transport, will facilitate the islanders and employees of government departments.
